Both feature an alternate history look at a time close to the World Wars of our own world, with "Saga of Tanya the Evil" focusing on the actual conflicts and "Moon, Laika, and the Bloodsucking Princess" looking at the post-war period with a focus on the space race, both with a supernatural twist. The main protagonist of both shows are also some variation of "evil" from the perspective of the inhabitants of their worlds, with Tanya being a ruthless expert tactician with a flair for magic, and Irina being a literal vampire cosmonaut.

People inspired by space? Check. Discussion on how Nationalism and space really don't mix? Check. Inspired characters wanting to explore space for the sake of doing so? Yup!There's even a cute, slow-burn romance in both!

These two gave me the same vibes in the weirdest way possible. Both tell the story of a military like man helping a girl whom society sees as just an object, but who is actually a human being at heart. Even if the context is not the same, the two hurt our hearts with emotions, where we know that everything can fall of and become incredibly sad from one episode to another. In addition to that, includes a kind of side story with an impossible romance, seen by the other people in their respective worlds.

Plastic Memories addpermalink

Both series feature human and non-human characters bonding. What starts out as a work related relationship slowly develops into love. The manner in which the MC's are there for their girls by teaching them, easing their fears or by being supportive in general gave me similar vibes. It's pretty emotional in a sweet way. Unfortunately their days are numbered which causes anxiety and tension. Another aspect both series have in common. Plastic Memories felt a bit more light hearted and colorful overall. That was primarily due to the setting that offered more opportunities for a change of pace and the supporting cast that lifted &nbspread more

Both anime talk about characters dreaming to become astronauts / cosmonauts and some day reach the moon. They also both talk about the process to become an astronaut and all the hard training to it.Uchuu Kyoudai have much more focus on the astronaut training process if you are looking for a more realistic approach on this subject.

Cute girls shot into space on experimental spacecraft with mixed levels of safety and success! If you enjoy the discussion on spaceflight methodology and training seen in TtL, you may find this one fun too.
